A young woman tries to escape a troubled past by moving to a new flat in the city, and finds herself investigating the disappearance of the flat’s previous tenant.
There’s a lot more going on in this book than my one-sentence description, but I don’t want to give away too much. This is a very well-written book. I especially loved the characters, Emily is just the right mix of humble and naive yet smart and gutsy. There are a couple of minor plot holes here and there, conclusions reached by the characters that I thought were a bit of a stretch, but overall this is a very good read. A great start to a series, I think I’ll be downloading more to see what Emily gets up to next.
