A doctor, the victim of a near-fatal assault, is traumatised all over again when someone appears to be copying the attacker she shot dead two years ago.
This is an older book, the first of the Rizzoli & Isles series by Tess Gerritsen (although it doesn’t feature Dr Isles, presumably she comes later). It’s a killer of a series opener. The bad guy is a nasty piece of work, and the story is well-told through a number of different points-of-view. I finished this one in a couple of days, which is a good indicator of a classic, well-written crime novel. I might even dive right into book two now, The Apprentice.
